Legislature rejects rate delay; one hurdle remains!

The Legislature took steps to fully reject the service provider rate delay. This is a huge victory! Now, the clock is ticking. Legislative leaders know how urgent it is to stabilize the disability services system.

Governor Newsom is in final negotiations with the Legislature on many issues – including ours. Provably, the Legislature fully supports increasing provider rates on July 1st. And it’s equally clear what the Governor prefers.

It’s time to let the Governor know you support the provider rate increase!

There are two ways you can be a part of this advocacy push. The Lanterman Coalition is organizing an online petition, where you can add your name to an open letter to the Governor. It’s simple way to be counted in support of this critical effort.
 

For maximum impact, though, we urge you to take three minutes and call Governor Newsom, at (916) 445-2841, and say “don’t delay the rates for developmental disability service providers!”
