    The Parental Fee Program was repealed effective July 1, 2025. As a result, families no longer will be assessed or charged fees under the Parental Fee Program for eligible 24-hour out-of-home care services provided on or after July 1, 2025.

    <\/strong>There no longer is a requirement for regional centers to submit a monthly report to the Department listing new placements, terminated cases, and client deaths.

    Collection Activities
    <\/strong>The Department will continue monthly billing and collection efforts for outstanding and past due parental fees incurred up to and through June 30, 2025, consistent with the law through that date. The Department\u2019s Parental Fee Program staff may contact regional centers for information about families, as needed.

    Audit Activities
    <\/strong>For time periods after June 30, 2025, requirements related to the Parental Fee Program will no longer be part of the Department\u2019s Regional Center biennial audit protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
