Era madre y defend\u00eda activamente los intereses de su hijo y de otros beneficiarios del NLACRC. Sus contribuciones fueron muchas.<br><br>Los intereses de Jynny en el sistema legislativo la llevaron a fundar el primer Desayuno Legislativo del NLACRC. Desempe\u00f1\u00f3 un papel activo en las iniciativas de base del centro regional, tanto a nivel local como estatal. <br><br>Presidi\u00f3 el Comit\u00e9 de Relaciones Gubernamentales y Comunitarias de la Junta (<strong>GCRC<\/strong>) brindando orientaci\u00f3n y direcci\u00f3n vitales sobre diversas cuestiones legislativas a lo largo de su mandato en la Junta. <br><br>Conmemoramos la pasi\u00f3n de Jynny y su dedicado trabajo voluntario con esta entrega anual de premios a otros defensores de la comunidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objetivo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Para reconocer a un consumidor, padre o miembro de la comunidad que representa el \u00e1rea de influencia de NLACRC (Valle de San Fernando, Valle de Santa Clarita y Valle del Ant\u00edlope) que ha prestado un servicio excepcional en nombre de las personas atendidas por NLACRC.<br><br>El prop\u00f3sito de esta pol\u00edtica es orientar a la junta en sus esfuerzos por reconocer a las personas que han hecho una contribuci\u00f3n distinguible en las vidas de las personas con discapacidades del desarrollo. La junta debe considerar, entre otros, los factores que se enumeran a continuaci\u00f3n para determinar a qui\u00e9n reconocer. La contribuci\u00f3n de la persona debe ser a lo largo de un per\u00edodo de tiempo sostenido, realizada dentro del \u00e1rea de influencia del centro y haber tenido un impacto positivo en las vidas de muchos consumidores. Adem\u00e1s, la persona debe ser muy estimada por sus pares. La junta puede optar por reconocer a las personas de la siguiente manera:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Otorgar una placa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aprobar una resoluci\u00f3n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enviar una carta<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>El premio m\u00e1s alto es una placa, seguida de una resoluci\u00f3n y luego una carta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elegibilidad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Puede optar a este premio cualquier consumidor, padre o miembro de la comunidad, que no sea miembro del personal del NLACRC ni de la Junta Directiva del NLACRC, que viva o haya prestado servicios en el \u00e1rea de influencia del NLACRC. El destinatario de este premio puede ser un voluntario o un profesional remunerado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedimiento<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El Comit\u00e9 de Relaciones Gubernamentales y Comunitarias determinar\u00e1 aquellas personas que la junta puede considerar reconocer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Comit\u00e9 analiza solicitud<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El comit\u00e9 puede considerar la solicitud de reconocimiento presentada por una persona con conocimiento de las contribuciones de la persona. La solicitud debe estar completa y debe ir acompa\u00f1ada de una o m\u00e1s cartas de recomendaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El comit\u00e9 vota para reconocer a un individuo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El comit\u00e9, a su discreci\u00f3n, podr\u00e1 recomendar a la junta en pleno que se reconozca la contribuci\u00f3n de la persona.
