DDS Rate Study and Rate Models - Public Comment Survey

Consistent with the requirements of Chapter 3, Statutes of 2016, Second Extraordinary Session (ABX2 1) and Welfare and Institutions Code section 4519.8, the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) will submit to the legislature a rate study on the provision of community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) contracted with Burns & Associates Inc., a national health policy consulting firm, to conduct the rate study.

DDS and Burns & Associates are seeking input from the public on the rate study and rate models. The Department is requesting comments be focused on specifics including but not limited to the rate models; elimination or consolidation of some service codes, recommendations regarding high cost areas, methodology to establish direct care worker, supervisor rates, and methodology for determining travel time or any input that would improve the quality of the rate models. These comments will be considered and the rate models may be revised as appropriate.

NLACRC has created an online survey for our provider to input their comment/feedback as well as have the opportunity to upload documentation that supports their position.  Comments/feedback can be submitted on the link below.

Please note: The survey will close on April 2nd at 11:59 p.m.
