Helping Hearts Winter Formal
Dear Consumers, Parents and Care Providers,
Our Helping Hearts Winter Formal Fund-Raiser Dance was a
pleasant success. As you know, the Panorama City VISTAS
consumers voted to do the fund raiser to assist the victims
of the tsunamis of late December.

This was an occasion that our population
of consumers demonstrated that we do look outside of ourselves
and care about others in the world. We are able to help
in a way that is no different from other more affluent individuals.
We held a fund-raiser for something we know to be a trustworthy
organization that is on location to help.
We had fun. We danced, ate, took pictures, and genuinely
enjoyed each other’s company. Not to mention, we looked
fabulous. All for a very good cause. Everyone looked wonderful.
The winners of our best dressed contest were Greg from the
Hawthorne VISTAS and Sherry from our program. The winners
of the dance contest were Greg and Angie (from our program).
Of our best raffle prizes the CD player was won by Tim from
Social and Work, the Sandwich Maker was won by Doug from
our program, and the Dare Devil DVD was won by Sherry.

Each of our consumers sends their thanks
for your support in making this charitable event possible.
Thank you to Igmedio Gardose for DJ’ing our event. We thank
all of the visiting programs and those who came independently.
The dance raised $501.31, which was donated to the American
Red Cross today, Monday, January 24, 2005.
