NLACRC MULITMEDIA LIBRARY EXPANDS
The multi-media library at the San Fernando Valley office is moved from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor and a state-of-the-art computer lab is added that includes four computer stations. Each station has an adjustable table and software programs such as Dragon Naturally Speaking, Kurzweil 3000, ZoomText, Inspiration, and Boardmaker, to enhance and expand the visitor’s experience.

OUTREACH
NLACRC continues to reach out to the community by distributing printed materials to the local medical community, sending speakers to various agencies and institutions, and participating at community informational fairs.

PERFORMANCE CONTRACT 2005
NLACRC meets or exceeds all of the Regional Center goals and compliance standards that are included as part of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) performance contract. The data collected helps determine how regional centers are performing in several areas including the number of consumers living in developmental centers, more children and adults living with families or in home settings, and less children and adults living in large facilities, intake assessment timelines, and different audits.
