Julie is now a thriving teenager who looks forward to going to school and enjoys doing many of the typical things that other teens her age enjoy including watching movies, going on the computer, and looking at magazines.
As Julie approaches adulthood, her family has bright hopes for her future.
“Ten years from now I can see her maybe attending a day program and learning new skills, especially those that will help prepare her to live on her own. We are thinking about a supported living environment or setting something up where Julie can continue to live in her own home but possibly with roommates. We think she would like that,” says Anna.
