Life-Threatening Emergency
For a medical or life-threatening emergency, you should call 9-1-1.

If you are in need of assistance from NLACRC staff during evenings or weekends, please call (818) 778-1900 and ask for the Officer of the Day and someone will assist you.

NLACRC Business Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Ready” is a national public service advertising campaign produced by The Advertising Council in partnership with Homeland Security. It’s designed to educate and empower Americans to prepare for and respond to emergencies, including natural disasters and potential terrorist attacks. The site also has a special section for people with disabilities.

The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services site has information about disaster assistance, the State’s Earthquake Program, hazard mitigation and hazardous materials, information for emergency managers, laws and regulations, meetings and workshops, and plans and publications.

NLACRC Multimedia Libraries
NLACRC’s Multimedia libraries offer information and resources about developmental disabilities including books, magazines, videos, community resource guides, assisted Internet searches, individualized information packets, and audio tapes. Some materials are also available in other languages.

Many of our resources can be checked out while others are reserved for library use only.

The San Fernando Valley and Antelope Valley libraries are open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment.
