The NLACRC libraries carry a wide selection of books, videos, DVDs, and other developmental disability resources that can be checked out by consumers, family members, service providers and community members. Our San Fernando Valley library has a computer lab equipped with four computer stations with Internet access and special software programs including Dragon Naturally Speaking, Kurzweil 3000, ZoomText and Boardmaker.

There is a library available at each of our three NLACRC offices. Library and computer lab visits are by appointment only and should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Library hours: By appointment, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CalState manages the RiSE (Resources in Special Education) Library, which makes available documents that offer research-proven strategies and information recommended by educational stakeholders. Residents of California can check out these resources free of charge by ordering through phone, e-mail, U.S. mail, and fax, or by visiting the library in person.
