General Infomation
North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) provides
services to persons with developmental disabilities (consumers)
who have mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism,
conditions closely related to mental retardation, or conditions
that require treatment similar to that required for individuals
with mental retardation.
The disability must originate before the age of 18, continue
or be expected to continue indefinitely, and constitute
a substantial disability for the person. A substantial disability
is one that affects three or more of seven major life areas
such as a person’s ability to communicate or learn.
