Parents Helping Parents - New Group Being Formed!
This is a support group for all parents and family members of adult children who have developmental disabilities. Meetings will be held the third Thursday of each month at NLACRC, 15400 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, Conf. Room #210 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The first meeting date has not yet been set. Community Living Program Review Committee
For adults and family members who want to develop an independent living services evaluation.

Cultivar Y Crecer Parent Support Group
A group for Spanish-speaking family members of NLACRC consumers. Meetings are held twice a month at NLACRC’s San Fernando Valley office. For more information, please call (818) 778-1900.

DSALA Parent Group
Down Syndrome Assn. of Los Angeles parent group meets at Lancaster Baby Steps, 540 W. Lancaster Blvd. They meet one Friday (usually the first) of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. Contact Andrea at (661) 951-4646 for more information.

Familias Unidos (Spanish speaking)
For Spanish-speaking families in the Antelope Valley with children with developmental disabilities. Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. at the A.V. Filipino Support Group
A group for Filipino family members of NLACRC consumers. Meetings are held once a month at NLACRC’s San Fernando Valley office.

Just 4 Us
A social group for adults with developmental disabilities who are parents, their children and interested others. Meetings are held once a month NLACRC, 15400 Sherman Way, 1st floor conference room.

NLACRC Self-Advocacy Group
A social support group run by and for adults with developmental disabilities. Meetings are held once a month at St. Michael’s in Van Nuys.

Emotional support group for parents who are faced with the personal challenges associated with raising young children with special needs.

Special Families
