CURRENT LISTINGS:

Community Services Specialist – Residential/ QA, Van Nuys, English only
Perform quality assurance activities to meet Title 17 requirements for a caseload of approximately 60 residential facilities; Conduct regular annual facility monitoring visits for all Service Level 2, 3, and 4 facilities; Conduct comprehensive evaluation reviews of Service Level 2, 3, and 4 facilities on a triennial basis with 2 unannounced visits per year to all facilities on caseload; Consults with, and conducts interviews with consumers, family members, day program providers and case management staff regarding service satisfaction and delivery; Prepares written reports containing commendations, recommendations, corrective action plans and other vendor actions identified as necessary and follows up on implementation and completion of those plans of action; Plans, coordinates, and/or conducts individual and group training programs for residential providers on issues that impact their ability to deliver quality services

Provides individualized technical assistance to providers to assist them with issues relating to the delivery of quality services, and administration of the facility; Communicates with Community Care and Department of Health Licensing personnel regarding provider issues and adherence to regulation; Participates in meetings with licensing agencies, other regional centers and task forces as assigned; Investigates and follows up on Special Incident Reports, allegations of abuse, or general complaints regarding facility services. Educates NLACRC staff regarding quality assurance, residential regulations, options, and vendor requirements; Serves as an information resource regarding residential services and providers; Participates as speaker, and assists in the coordination of the Residential Services Orientation course which is offered twice per year. Maintains knowledge of current Title 17 and Title 22 regulations as they apply to the operation, administration, staffing, and delivery of services in community care and intermediate care facilities. Coordinates or participates in other activities, training, special events and projects of the Community Services Unit as assigned, as they relate to the implementation of the Performance Based Contract and pursuit of NLACRC’s Mission . Requires a Masters degree in a related subject and two years of related experience or a BA in a related subject and four years of related experience. Salary: $3,515 - $4,313 per month.

Assistant Controller, Accounting, Van Nuys, English only
Oversees and perform all department functions in the absence of the Controller. Supervises operational accounting functions, including Center budget and salary, payroll, general ledger, operating accounts payable, travel, state claims, monthly and yearly financial statements. May supervise all other functions in the Accounting Department. Assumes leadership on special projects. Selects, trains, directs and evaluates assigned staff. Provides routine staff supervision. Knowledge of Accounting principles and procedures, budgeting principles and procedures, California requirements for Regional Center operations, Regional Center internal operations, program supervision. Skills include developing accounting systems and procedures, managing computerized accounting systems, policy interpretation and procedure implementation, clear oral and written communications, proficiency with computer programs, staff supervision and leadership, staff training, ability of manage cross departmental projects. Requires a B.A. degree in Accounting or a related field or CPA, MBA preferred AND a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience, leadership ability, including at least 5 years of staff supervision. A valid California Driver's License and transportation, or acceptable substitute, are required for this position.

Housing Manager, Community Services, Van Nuys, English only
Develops a housing policy for NLACRC. Responsible for identifying, developing, and securing permanent and affordable housing for people with developmental disabilities within Regional Center catchment area. Receives supervision from CFO/Deputy Director. Receives guidance from the Executive Director. Plans, coordinates, and implements housing solutions based on direction from NLACRC’s Community Placement Plan and Board of Trustee’s Housing Advisory Committee. Participates in the Center's management team, may serve as staff support for Board committee(s). Knowledge and experience in local housing authority, Section 8 regulations, federal, state, and local grants/subsidies, HUD funding as well as other government and non government funding streams that could be accessed to develop affordable housing options. Knowledge of developmental disabilities, the Regional Center (or related agencies). Experience in real estate and/or mortgage industry; education or experience in business administration. Provide staff development and leadership. Work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups. Process strong negotiation and conflict management skills. Requires Master's or Bachelor's degrees in either Business Administration, Public Administration, Urban Development or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience; Real Estate Broker or Agent License/Certification preferred. A valid CDL and transportation, or acceptable substitute is required for this position.


IT Specialist, Information Technology, Van Nuys, English only
Ensure consistent delivery of local area network computer services. Performs routine system maintenance tasks on a regular basis and monitors file servers for over-utilization. Assists in evaluating and correcting LAN problems. Evaluates personal computer problems, performs or recommends repairs, ensures routine maintenance on equipment. Performs routine service tasks, configuring workstations, and providing basic training. Resolves user-level service problems. Develops and runs AS400 system queries. Provides back-up management for telephone system. Assists in back-up for SANDIS administration. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or a related field and 2 years of experience, CNA certificate or completion of CNA coursework, and valid California Driver's License and transportation or acceptable substitute. Salary: $3,515 - $4,313 per month.

Consumer Services Supervisor, Adult Unit, Antelope Valley, English only

Supervise the work and the staff of the Adult unit in the Lancaster Office, participate in Agency leadership groups, and manage special projects. Requires a Master's Degree in a related field and 3 years of related experience.

Supervise the work and the staff of a School Age unit in the Van Nuys Office, participate in Agency leadership groups, and manage special projects. Requires a Master's Degree in a related field and 3 years of related experience.

Service Coordinator
-Adult, Van Nuys, English only
-Early Start, Van Nuys, Bilingual English/Spanish
-School Age, Antelope Valley, Bilingual English/Spanish
Initiate and receive contacts with consumers and families. Work independently to provide information and/or training on service issues, develop service plans in collaboration with consumers and families, manage the funding-approval process, follow-through (or direct others in follow-through) on service plan implementation and evaluation. Document work, maintain case records. May lead or staff support groups, represent the agency in dealings with other agencies or service providers. Requires excellent listening, communication, good writing skills, good customer service, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people. Most positions require regular local travel. A valid CDL and use of vehicle or acceptable substitute required. BA in a related subject plus two years of post related experience or MA in a related subject required. (One year of post related experience after BA will be considered and if selected will have starting salary of $3,176 per month or Step A). Regular salary: $3,335 - $4,093 per month, plus $150 bilingual payment, if applicable.
