NLACRC Consumer & Family Stories

Volunteer Extraordinaire Chris Taylor
Whenever you visit Roosevelt School, you’ll be greeted by one of the friendliest office staffs in the district. You’ll also notice a blonde, blue-eyed bundle of energy racing from one assignment to the next. He’ll give you a quick smile and wave, and then be off to help wherever he is needed. This Roosevelt dynamo is Chris Taylor, volunteer extraordinaire!

Chris Taylor volunteering in Pasedena.

Chris has been volunteering at Roosevelt for about eight years. It seems that Chris’ favorite duties center around Room 10, where he assists children with special needs. The eyes of those students light up when they see him come into the room. Chris has a big heart, a warm smile and lots of enthusiasm . . . the perfect combination for a volunteer.

Principal Suze Hoge said this about Chris, "His attitude is always positive and he makes an effort to be here every day. We have seen great growth in Chris as well as his students. He is definitely the favorite of many students!"
