What is the
NLACRC board of trustees?
NLACRC board of trustee members may be people
who have developmental disabilities, their family members,
or members of the community who have skills in organizational
management.
Board membership requires that you attend meetings two evenings
per month, and a desire to help set service policies for
the regional center.
Over 18,000 consumers and families served by this regional
center need your support. We invite you to join us as a
member of our board of trustees.
Board meeting agenda and approved minutes of open meetings of the board and all committees of the Board. (Board meetings are not held in July or December.)

The benefits of becoming a board member
A chance to help others
– many who have served on a board say that one of the biggest
incentives for doing so is the opportunity to help others
and 'give something back.' Influence the direction of activities,
services, and policies – as a board member, you will be
very involved in planning and organizing activities; you
can help shape how services or policies unfold and how the
organization conducts its business.
Learn about programs that may benefit your child and other
children and adults – as a board member, you will be able
to learn more about programs and services that are available
for children and adults with disabilities.
Make a difference – you can make decisions that affect others
for the better. Your concrete and practical knowledge about
disabilities can help ensure that decisions made by the
organization are informed ones.
